Existing homes

Moving into an existing home?

Talk to our team to give it the new feel again.

If you have bought an established home and have a budget to improve the look, come and talk to our interior design experts before making any big decisions. Our experience will give you guidance when deciding on colours or styles.

In some cases, light curtains may be added to existing window treatments to provide a softer feel or more privacy, but otherwise existing fittings cannot be retrofitted and will need to be removed for new window treatments.

New curtains, blinds or shutters can have a significant impact on how a room looks or feels and without proper assistance the results can be unexpected. Our consultants will come to your home or a visit to the showroom to view our displays and talk through your ideas and vision for your room.

If you come into the showroom, bring your house plans if you have them and photos of the rooms of your house. If you are looking for a style or feel, then check Pinterest, Instagram or search ‘Interior Designs’ to check the latest out there and find examples. Tell us if you have children or pets, as safety, cleanliness and maintenance will be a consideration.

Interior Tip #1
Different shades of light can change the tone of colours in a room, so consider how much light comes through windows and what window treatments you will use when deciding on colours.

Frequently Asked
questions:
What is the best type of window treatment?
Because of the differences in light, space and use of the rooms of your home, plus additional factors like budget, there is no one solutions that fits all. Having access to a range of curtains, blinds and shutters gives you a range to choose from.
How much cleaning do window treatments require?
Each style of window treatment will have its own cleaning requirements, some more frequent or labour intensive than others.
Can the window treatments be automated?
We have a whole range of blinds, curtains and shutters that can be automated and controlled through a controller or mobile app, or even set to change at certain times of day or depending on light levels.
Can you block out all light and noise?
Our curtain, blind & shutter ranges can offer room darkening and block out options. Light like water will find a way if there are gaps. These of course can be minimised as best possible with certain products. Unlike other window treatment companies, we do not claim to provide a 100% block out as this would be misleading.
What should I consider when thinking about window treatments?
The main things are use and look. How much light or noise needs to be blocked out? How big are the windows? Will the treatment be a design feature? Are there children or pets? The best idea is to speak to one of our experienced consultants who can make sure you don't miss anything.
